Frequently asked questions

Will this tag existing orders or only new ones going forward?

This workflow only tags new orders created after you activate it. Existing orders in your store won't be tagged automatically, but you can use Shopify's bulk editor to manually add currency tags to historical orders if needed.

What happens if an order uses multiple currencies or gets refunded?

Each order only has one currency assigned by Shopify (the currency the customer paid in), so you'll only get one currency tag per order. Refunds don't change the original order's currency, so the tag remains accurate for reporting purposes.

Can I customize the tag format instead of just using the currency code?

Yes, you can modify the tag format in the "Order Add Tag" step. For example, you could change it to "Currency: USD" or "Paid in USD" by editing the tag field to include additional text alongside the currency code.
