When a customer uninstalls your Shopify app, Mantle fires a webhook with comprehensive uninstall data. You need to specify your Mantle app ID in the appIds field—this is found in your Mantle dashboard under your app settings. The trigger only fires for uninstalls of the specified app, filtering out any other apps you might manage through Mantle.

This step creates a new row in your Google Sheet with the uninstall data. During setup, you'll configure three key elements:

(1) Spreadsheet name—the workflow can create a new spreadsheet for you or you can connect to an existing one,

(2) Sheet name—default is "Sheet1" but you can customize it, and

(3) Column selection—choose which data points to include from the available options:

  • Uninstalled At
  • Shopify Domain
  • Installed At
  • Average Monthly Revenue
  • Shopify Plan
  • Description
  • Uninstall Reason

The setup interface provides checkboxes to select which columns you want—all are selected by default but you can deselect any you don't need.

You can either duplicate this entire workflow and configure each copy with a different app ID, or modify the trigger to accept multiple app IDs separated by commas. Each approach has trade-offs—separate workflows give more flexibility but require more management.
Can I add custom columns or calculations to the spreadsheet?
Yes, after the workflow creates the initial row, you can add formulas in adjacent columns in Google Sheets that reference the data MESA inserts. For example, add a column that calculates install duration or categorizes uninstall reasons. These formulas won't be overwritten by new rows from MESA.
How do I find my Mantle app ID?
Log into your Mantle dashboard, navigate to your app settings, and look for the App ID or API credentials section. The app ID is typically a unique identifier string that Mantle uses to route webhooks to the correct app. If you can't find it, contact Mantle support for assistance.
